It all began on the corner if Tallman Ave, Indianapolis In, December 23rd, 1988, where a young man would be brought into this world, named Damon Golden. He grew up in a 3 bedroom house that looked like a mansion through the young eyes of Damon, that housed his grandparent, mother, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. Even with all of the other family members Damon still seemed to shine and be the center of attention at family gatherings. From the time he put on his first pair of sneaks as a youngster until now, he has been on some type of stage. He sang every solo that the church choir director gave him and took every acting role his mentor Tony Small would bring to him. He was and still is a natural when it comes to being in the spotlight.
Later on in Dames life he crossed paths early in the year 2000 with his later to be spiritual father, his youth pastor, Michael Thigpen, and this encounter would change Dames life forever. He grew up in church like a lot of people do, but like all to often they go to church yet don’t form a relationship with Christ. However, Dame being impacted by the lifestyle of his youth pastor he decided to be sincere in seeking out God’s plan for his life. From singing to dance then acting and now rapping Dame has surely given all that he has in talents back to Christ the gift giver! Devoting all of his time and efforts to his new position as youth pastor at Celebration Church at Arrow heights, he also realizes that God has called him to reach people through his gift of rap music.
Once Dame obtained a true intimate relationship with Christ and copped the “BIG FRAMES” he immediately began to “Blow my Trumpet” for him. Since then his passion for God’s will his life has increased immensely, along with that his desire to bring youth to Christ has furthered. This is why he does what he does to see God’s Glory come forth, and to help bring more into the wonderful Kingdom of God. He told God with everything he does, he wants to Compose for him.
Dame now continues his journey by attending Indiana Wesleyan University where he is majoring in secondary education social studies and also prepares to marry his fiancée Kristin Driskill on the 6th of August in 2011. Dame knows and understands that this world is in need of Jesus Christ, and Dame desires to deliver the GOOD NEWS to the world. That GOOD NEWS is that Jesus Christ simply wants a relationship NOT religion.
